What are the spookiest bugs to avoid this Halloween?

jack-o-lanternWith Halloween coming up, everyone is excited to get into the spirit of the season. Putting up spooky decorations and enjoying spooky costumes are always fun, but one thing nobody likes is seeing spooky bugs around your property. Learn more about the spookiest bugs to avoid this Halloween!

Black Widow Spiders

Everyone knows about the black widow spider, but few realize that they can be found in many parts of the United States. Anybody can recognize them because of their red markings and solid black body. They are extremely dangerous to humans, as a single bite from one of these spiders can lead to swelling, fainting, vomiting, and eventually death.

Brown Recluse Spiders

Though not as deadly as their black widow counterparts, these are terrifying spiders that have extremely painful bites. They are easy to spot because of their brown skin and long legs. Avoid them if you can, as a bite from them can lead to tremendous bouts of pain, coupled with skin problems that grow worse the longer they remain untreated.

House Centipedes

These massive and terrifying creatures are usually harmless to humans, but nobody likes seeing a centipede around the property. They move quickly and reproduce even quicker, resulting in fresh colonies that can invade every corner of the house. Get rid of them as quickly as possible and call an exterminator if you think they are beginning to colonize.

Flying bugs definitely top the list of spooky insects, and wasps are among the worst. If you spot wasps around your property, you need to call an expert to have the hive removed, as wasps can sting ferociously and aggressively if they perceive a threat to their territory.

Puss Caterpillars

Though they may seem like fuzzy and cuddly dots of hair, puss caterpillars are extremely harmful to humans. Contact with their hair strands can result in individual splinters embedding in the skin, resulting in painful allergic reactions that could lead to dizziness and infection.
